Dieta que ficou famosa graças a socialite Kim Kardashian, que afirmou já ter perdido 30 kg só seguindo a dieta Atkins, essa dieta também é conhecida como dieta da proteína.<br />
Criada em 1970 pelo Dr. Robert Atkins, cardiologista norte-americano, a dieta consiste na diminuição dos carboidratos e açúcares e no aumento das proteínas e gorduras ao longo do dia. Alimentos como carnes (inclusive bacon e embutidos), ovos, leite e derivados são os mais consumidos por quem faz a dieta. <br />
Segundo o médico, com essa estratégia o organismo passa a utilizar a gordura acumulada para produzir energia para as células, o que leva à perda de peso e a um melhor controle da glicemia e dos níveis de colesterol e triglicerídeos no sangue, por outro lado, há um problema com relação a outras dietas semelhantes, o fato de não priorizar tanto as gorduras boas, pode ser perigoso à saúde. Destacamos que o alto consumo de gordura pode aumentar o risco de doenças cardiovasculares.<br />

<b><span style="font-size: large;">Como funciona a dieta?</span></b></div>

O programa da dieta tem 4 ciclos com duração de 14 dias cada ciclo.<br />
São elas: indução, perda de peso contínua, pré–manutenção e manutenção.<br />
1.indução: Na indução é permitido o consumo máximo de 20 gramas de carboidrato por dia. Durante essa fase é esperado que ocorra uma perda de peso mais acelerada.<br />
2.perda de peso contínua: Nessa fase da dieta é permitido consumir de 40 a 60 gramas de carboidrato por dia, sendo que o aumento deve ocorrer 5 gramas por semana. A segunda fase deve ser seguida até que o peso desejado possa ser atingido, frutas e vegetais também podem ser acrescentadas no cardápio.<br />
3.pré-manutenção: Na fase da pré manutenção é permitido o consumo de até 70 gramas de carboidratos por dia, mas é preciso observar se há aumento de peso nesse período. Caso haja aumento de peso, a quantidade de carboidratos deve ser reduzida para 65 g ou 60 g até que seu organismo se acostume, quando seu organismo se acostumar, você poderá passar para a quarta e última fase.<br />
Nesta fase podem ser acrescentados ao cardápio os seguintes alimentos: abóbora, cenoura, batata inglesa, batata doce, inhame, mandioca, feijão, grão-de-bico, lentilha, aveia, farelo de aveia, arroz e frutas como maçã, banana, cereja, uva, kiwi, goiaba, manga, pêssego, ameixa e melancia.<br />
4.manutenção: A quantidade de carboidrato consumida deve ser aquela que mantém o peso estável, a qual foi descoberta na fase 3 do processo. Nesta fase, a dieta já passou a ser um estilo de vida, que deve ser seguido sempre para uma boa manutenção do peso e da saúde.</div>

A ausência de carboidratos e fibras nas semanas iniciais pode resultar em sintomas que inicialmente podem desencorajar quem não está acostumado a fazer dieta: dor de cabeça, falta de disposição e mau humor, náusea, mau hálito e prisão de ventre principalmente. Uma dica básica para contornar os incômodos é beber bastante água durante todo o tempo da dieta.<br />
A dieta deve ser feita com o acompanhamento de um médico ou nutricionista.</div>

1/4 de colher (de café) de bicarbonato de sódio ou fermento químico </p>
<p dir="ltr">Separar as gemas e claras. Na batedeira, bater as gemas e o queijo (que não deve estar gelado) até obter uma massa bem lisa. Em outra tigela bater as claras em neve com o bicarbonato (ou fermento). Com auxílio de uma espátula misturá-las à massa de gemas, delicadamente. Em uma assadeira forrada com papel manteiga colocar porções de massa fazendo círculos pequenos. Você pode optar por fazer uma versão inteira, mas não é a mais comum. Levar a assar, em forno preaquecido a 150° C, por cerca de 15 a 20 minutos, até que fiquem meio dourados. Depois de frios, você pode se quiser, colocá-los em sacos de plástico até o dia seguinte para que fiquem bem macios. Podem também ser congelados ou passados na torradeira.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Para uma versão salgada você pode acrescentar parmesão, alecrim, alho ralado , sal, pimenta do reino, especiarias, etc. e para uma versão doce você pode acrescentar  cacau, aromas ou outros ingredientes. É preciso ressaltar que todos estes acréscimos devem ser de preferência secos para que a massa continue fofa e espumosa e evitar que ela dessore e se espalhe na assadeira no momento do cozimento.</p>
